| | School Tools Supply Drive in August |
| | It seems like the last school bell just rang, but it's already time to start school shopping for the kids. While you're out picking up school supplies, grab a few extra items for children in our community who are in need. Then just drop them off in one of the bins in Founders Hall throughout the month of August. While you can bring any item, the focus for Founders Hall is particularly on pencils, markers, pens and notebook paper.
Founders Hall is a collection site for the School Tools campaign, a partnership formed between WSOC-TV, Communities in Schools and Classroom Central. School Tools is a 22-county campaign in North and South Carolina; all supplies stay in the county where they are collected. Last year, School Tools collected and distributed more than 20 tons of school supplies in Mecklenburg County alone.

| |  Every Friday from noon to 2 p.m., you can enjoy your lunch at Founders Hall while listening to some of the area's finest jazz and acoustic artists.

| | Alive After Five is back for the eighth year! This is the original downtown after work party. Held every Thursday at Wachovia Plaza from 5:30-9:30pm.
Don’t be fooled by imitation events. This party is staying right where it started-Two Wachovia Plaza, Corners of Tryon and Martin Luther King (formerly 2nd St)
